Hop on for an exciting adventure with Mari Sherkin to find the wonders hidden in nature with this heartwarming picture book -- A Fairy On My Sleeve. One day, Mari was sitting by a tree, reading a book, when she caught sight of something out of the corner of her eye. Upon closer inspection, she realized she had a fairy on her sleeve. Since she was a child, Mari loved reading books about fairies, toadstools, and stumps of trees, losing herself in the fascinating places her imagination took her. Mari felt safe in those places. But try as she might, she had never caught a glimpse of a fairy until this day. She carefully put her book down and saw a squirrel and a frog, and suddenly, a fairy dressed in lace landed on her sleeve.

A Fairy On My Sleeve is a delightful children's picture book. Through catchy rhymes and colorful illustrations, Mari Sherkin demonstrates the power of imagination, showing how it helps us discover the wonders of nature all around us. The narrative is wholesome and captivating, and I think young readers are going to love this setting. In just a few pages, Sherkin has crafted a vibrant and lively world featuring marvelous creatures, the likes of which you don't see very often in real life nowadays. Sherkin masterfully taps into a child's imagination, showing how they view the world around them. Illustrator David Gnass' artwork works brilliantly with Sherkin's singable rhymes, enhancing the reading experience even more. Children will have a blast with this book. I really enjoyed it and heartily recommend it to young readers below the age of seven.
