May You Live a Good Life by Kim Lim is a children’s picture book that tells of the unbreakable bond between a mother and her children and walks us through every stage of a child’s life. The mother makes a promise that she will always be there whenever her child needs her, no matter his or her age. This is a story of love, of wishes for success in life, and a celebration of the beauty of life and family.

May You Live a Good Life by Kim Lim is a wonderful tale. The illustrations bring it to life, showing both mother and child as the years pass. It’s educational in that it teaches a child they can rely on their parents, and it also teaches them the value of family and love. This is a book children can keep forever and pass on to their own children. I think that a personalized version would be nice, with the child’s name in it, so that will become a keepsake.

This is a well-written book, straight to the point and narrated in language that’s easy to understand. It will certainly help any child feel that their parents are with them through every step. Although it is about the unbreakable bond between mother and child, we mustn’t forget the fathers – they also have that bond with their children. This is a good book, highly recommended for children of all ages – and adults too.

A mother's relationship with her child is the strongest bond between all living creatures. In May You Live a Good Life, author Kim Lim celebrates this bond between a mother and child with a combination of mesmerizing rhymes and beautifully drawn illustrations by Diana Fernandez. The story is about a mother eagerly awaiting her child's birth and following her life and that of her child as she guides her beloved son through the various stages of life. From sleepless nights trying to comfort her newborn son to growing up and moving out of the house to begin the next phase of his life, his mother is always there to offer him love, support, and care.

May You Live a Good Life is a great reminder of the power of love for everyone blessed with a mother's loving care and warmth. Although this is primarily a children's tale, adults will find it moving. Kim Lim's rhyming verses are bound to tug at your heartstrings as these catchy rhymes find their way to touch your soul. Illustrator Diana Fernandez's vibrant artwork splashes color onto the pages and makes the story more immersive for the reader. Children will find this book easy to read, and it will help them find a way to celebrate their mother's love through a book. I thoroughly enjoyed reading May You Live a Good Life and can't recommend it highly enough.

"With your very first cry, when we met face to face, joyful tears filled my eyes while you felt my embrace." Kim Lim's May You Live a Good Life is a heartwarming children's picture book about the unconditional love between parent and child. Here, we follow the relationship between a mother and child. Right from the moment the mother feels the first kicks in her womb, she can't wait to meet the baby and give them love. When the baby is born, she wishes time could slow down so they can continue creating more special moments together. However, soon the child will get big and have to go their separate way to take their life's journey. But no matter how far they go, they will always have their parents' love.

There is no better way to say “I love you” to your child than with this short, sweet book. With sweet rhyming text and warm, inviting illustrations, this book celebrates how a parent's love and support can stretch further than you can imagine. Lim dedicated this book to her two sons and wrote it to remind every child that they are greatly loved and cherished. My favorite part is when the parent shares with the child how to deal with the harsh realities of life. Kids are reminded that life will always be full of ups and downs and must remain strong and fearless to conquer everything. The word choices are simple yet sweet, like poetry. May You Live a Good Life is a heartwarming and excellent book that will hold a special place in both the child's and parent's hearts. I read it aloud while in bed with my four-year-old, and he said it made him feel safe just having me in his life. Sweetest book!
