101 Reasons I Forgive You, Again is a wonderfully delightful book about the kinks in relationships, written by Katharine Benelli Coggeshall. Outlining the many reasons couples stay together, regardless of the troubles they might have, this book gives quite specific examples of why it’s sometimes better to stay together, rather than just show your spouse the door. Whether it be due to a fear of arachnids, hoping they will do chores in the home which are too difficult (or just creep us out), or knowing that they will safely reach for those items that our limited statures prevent us from reaching, delve into some of the many reasons couples prefer to keep their frustrating other halves around, rather than say goodbye.

Katharine Benelli Coggeshall’s book had me both nodding and laughing out loud at the same time, as I was most definitely able to relate to most of these examples within my own marriage. Reluctantly accepting his apologetic gift of chocolate is a major boost, allowing me to drop my guard as he breaches the walls I have put up – walls I sometimes need to climb over, myself, just to reach something on a shelf at the supermarket. Coggeshall’s 101 Reasons I Forgive You, Again showcases many of the illogical (yet so rational) arguments of letting things slide just this once... twice.... or fiftieth time, because we know that deep down, not only is our anger eventually likely to simmer down, but both parties will find themselves amused when he (or she) touches on that special moment that we are glad that we kept them around. Not only did I thoroughly enjoy 101 Reasons I Forgive You, Again, but I wholeheartedly recommend it to those in a relationship who constantly ask themselves why they don’t throw in the towel and give up on the uniqueness (and hilarity) that they bring to the world.
