Brianna L. DeVore's 12 Women In Business is an engaging book that gives readers glimpses of 12 women in business who have risen against all odds in their respective fields and made a name for themselves. Luiza Helena Trajano, Mary Barra, Ursula Burns, Kate Gleason, Anita Roddick, Kiran Mazumdar, Susan Wojcicki, Rosalind Brewer, Victoria Alonso, Marillyn Hewson, Folorunsho Alakija, and Mary Kay Ash are the 12 women spoken about in the book, and the author also gives glimpses of a few other women who did not get the recognition they deserved. The profiles of these 12 women achievers in business will give hope, encouragement, motivation, determination, and perseverance to readers to achieve by overcoming barriers and meeting challenges head-on.

Brianna L. DeVore's 12 Women In Business gives just enough details for young readers to get interested in the book. The sidebars and pictures add to the appeal of the book and the subject. The entire series on Women Who Changed the World is educational and informative and gives readers details about all the women who made a mark for themselves in a world dominated by men. It is a good series to have in one's personal collection and in school, university, and public libraries as it can be used as reference material. It will enhance knowledge about the role of women in the arts, business, medicine, sports, politics, science and technology, education, entertainment, and many other fields.
