Brianna L. Devore's 12 Women In Media is an engaging and informative book that will give readers information about 12 women who made a difference to the world of media with their contributions. Whether it was Gwen Ifill, Samantha Bee, Oprah Winfrey, Helen Thomas, Donna Langley, Barbara Walters, Christiane Amanpour, or others, the book speaks about the achievements of these women and how they created their own personal styles to emerge successfully in their respective fields. The biographical details, fascinating facts, and photos of each of these 12 women are educational and will give readers glimpses of their valuable contributions to journalism.

Brianna L. Devore's 12 Women In Media is a good tool to learn about the women who made it in the media industry and how they were able to influence journalism in their own special way. The Glossary and Out of the Shadows section at the end of the book are helpful to learn the terms used in the media industry and also to learn about the women who did not gain popularity in the media world in spite of their contributions. All the titles in this series are worth having in a personal collection and in school, university, and public libraries because they can be used for reference. The author writes in a very neat, methodical, and simple manner, making it entertaining to readers. Readers will want to know more about these women who have risen against all odds and made a name for themselves.
