Dr. Catherine Braswell's 52 Weeks of Practical Applications to Biblical Principles guides readers by supplying topics for reflection and prayer that may be applied to their lives. Braswell begins by asking her readers to recommit themselves to God and develop a more open dialog with him. The lessons encourage readers to continue nurturing their relationship with the Lord every week, and examples of prayers and relatable life examples are given for periods of reflection and bonding with God.

Dr. Catherine Braswell's 52 Weeks of Practical Applications to Biblical Principles is full of supporting scripture from the Bible, and the author explains it straightforwardly as she makes suggestions about ways in which readers can use it in prayer and throughout the day. The author has a doctorate and she’s a full-time pastor, so I feel her experience has prepared her to write a book that can impact the daily lives of Christian followers. Some of the material read like a proposed conversation with God, and I valued that portion as I carry on a running dialog with the Lord. The lessons are detailed in bite-sized chunks that will be easily digested by readers and motivate them to act on the material by remembering to live a Christ-centered life. To me, the book is a powerful tool to help readers continue a loving, open relationship with God, and its exercises are valid for much longer than a year of study. I recommend the book to readers of the Christian faith who want to build a deeper connection with God by applying the words of His scripture to daily life.

Even when faced with anxiety and difficult circumstances, faith in God provides comfort and joy. How then, during terrible times, do we find ourselves putting our love, devotion, and confidence in things other than God? Is it because many view God as an angry deity, demanding and frequently irritated with us? Is this the connection God desires to have with his people? Dr. Catherine Braswell's 52 Weeks of Practical Applications to Biblical Principles answers these important concerns in resourceful, clearly defined lessons that will shed new light on how believers understand God's word. This book will also teach the reader how to overcome temptation, join with other believers, and use what they learn from the teachings of the scriptures in their daily lives.

Each portion of the book introduced well-organized nuggets of information. Walking in the Joy of the Lord was my favorite. In this section, Dr. Catherine Braswell delves deeper into the distinction between joy and happiness, demonstrating how spiritual joy generates a spiritual transformation in our behavior that radiates to an outward exhibition that others will notice. My second favorite section was What Am I Doing With My Talents? In this, the author reaffirms the importance of using your talents with humility, love, and respect for others so that God will be exalted in whatever we do as Christians. I appreciated how the author built her thoughts around biblical scriptures. This was soul-restoring to me. Although 52 Weeks of Practical Applications to Biblical Principles is written from a Christian perspective, I found it to be a book that readers of any faith can read because it does not contradict the principles of any religious institution. This is the aspect that I enjoyed the most. I recommend it to everyone who wants to learn more about the life God has planned for them.

Catherine Braswell's 52 Weeks of Practical Applications to Biblical Principles: A Guide to Practice What You Preach or Teach is a weekly devotional guide for evangelical Christians. Chapter titles include I Must Bridle My Tongue, I am Not a Victim but a Victor, Learning to Put Others First, and 49 more. Each chapter begins with the Biblical principle that Dr. Catherine Braswell is about to discuss, followed by an exposition of that concept. She then provides practical applications, including many verses from scripture and how they relate to that week's topic. The chapters conclude with a short exhortation and a place for readers to make their notes. Braswell is the founder, president, and CEO of The Hand of God School of Biblical Studies/Ministries.

Catherine Braswell's 52 Weeks of Practical Applications to Biblical Principles is written as a guide and teaching handbook for Christians. The book will help them to understand the Bible better and apply its teachings to their daily lives. I liked how Dr. Braswell arranged her book by subject and included many Biblical verses that apply to the given theme. Beyond its practical application for practicing Christians, the book would be an excellent resource for pastors, Sunday School teachers, or others who teach from the Bible. They could use it for weekly sermons or lessons, or as a supplement to their current teaching material. The book is eminently practical, scripturally sound, and well-written. The author knows how to keep her readers interested and possesses keen insight into the issues that Christians face on an everyday basis. I'm happy to recommend this book to Bible-orientated Christians.

For many Christians, the word of God is not just words printed in the Bible. For them, it is something that is living, operative, and nourishing. However, many Christians find it difficult to live according to His word in their everyday lives. Dr. Catherine Braswell’s 52 Weeks of Practical Applications to Biblical Principles: A Guide to Practice What You Preach or Teach will help you to overcome that difficulty. Her work is a modern guide to help you take the words of Scripture and apply them to your daily crisis. This guide is arranged into 52 Scripture topics dealing with a biblical principle or quote that gives you a review of what you may have already learned but have forgotten in your Bible study. It then proceeds to a practical and easy-to-follow application that you can implement in your own life, along with note pages to encourage you to write down your thoughts about what you have learned.

This Christian Living guide attests to the biblical principle stating that man cannot live by bread alone. As God’s word is believed to be active, Dr. Catherine Braswell carefully examines selected verses and skillfully connects them as guideposts that reinforce your spiritual recollection. It can prove to be a regenerating experience when you interact with this book, as you jot down your ideas at the end of every topic. Braswell has come up with her own effective way of bringing those who believe to open up to God daily through the power and reassurance of His words. In a way, 52 Weeks of Practical Applications to Biblical Principles also serves as a supplementary Bible study, as enjoying God’s word each day is a continuous process. This is the book that you read to help remind you of the important words that you need to live by as a functioning Christian.
