A Brief Guide to God by Iain Donnelly is the story of one person's journey to faith. Although the views and expressions in the book are the author's perspective on religion, it does help readers connect with their inner selves and spirituality, and enables them to better their lives. The book is beneficial for those who still don't know why they are here on earth and what their purpose is in life. The author's personal experiences help readers relate with the author's words and connect with what the author is trying to convey. The author's experience of becoming a Christian at the age of 39 is indeed inspirational and uplifting.

The book is helpful in understanding the essence of a person and removes a lot of skepticism regarding God and faith. The message has been put forth in a simple manner that makes it accessible to readers from all walks of life. Books like this enable readers to contemplate and reflect more on life, God and religion, and help them decide what they want in their lives. The chapter on Satan is quite interesting and throws light on the negative energy that slowly creep into us in the absence of God and His presence. The book clears a lot of doubts from people's minds when it comes to religion and God. The author's personal journey is motivational, guiding readers on the path toward spirituality, God and liberation. An uplifting book that will tell readers about spirituality and faith in a very simple and relatable way. Interesting cover, very eye-catching and innovative.

I believe that Mr Donnelly has achieved what he set out to do. This is a well-written account of his conversion to the essential Christian beliefs. He describes very well the often distressing and distasteful state of the modern world and our place in it. Through his astute application of humour, he avoids being at all 'preachy', but he does not shy away from quoting religious text and interpreting its real meaning. I should imagine that this book would be of great help to anyone who is struggling with, or teetering on the edge of becoming a true, open and honest believer in the Christian faith.
