A Pink Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott is the story of Billie, a young woman who left her small town to make something of herself. She left town to achieve her dreams, but what she did not anticipate was that the love of her life would not be a part of her dream. Years pass and she lets that go, but when her father’s health deteriorates, she comes back home to help out. What she did not expect was to encounter Leroy once again and, this time, they have 5 years to make up. But will they give love another chance?

This story is the perfect example of short and sweet. Billie is a headstrong young woman who knows what she wants and when she must step back and let things unfold. Leroy, on the other hand, is a hard hitter. He is a man who knows what he wants and he fights for it, even if he has to be subtle about it. What I loved about this book the most is that I expected it to be a fluffy romance that would kill an hour or two for me, but it turned out to be such a sweet and meaningful story.

The pace of the story was fast and it was intense in places. I wanted to smack Billie’s and Leroy’s heads together now and again, but that just shows how invested I was in their lives. The dialogues were crisp, their stories were on point, and the characters received enough page space to tell their side of things. I loved A Pink Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott and enjoyed it immensely.
