Author Biography

I have been a collector and a reader of mystery novels for many years. I really like the style of the 1940s, and I try to give my novels a 1940s vibe. I should know that era well, since it was my childhood!
In my spare time I was a forensic psychiatrist. I shared my mystery hobby with many of my friends in the field, who also devoured psychological thrillers. Some people like murder mysteries or other dark subjects. I try to keep my writing lighter, without (I hope) sacrificing character development.

Bart Northcote has won the respect of a famous older Hollywood icon in A Search For Family: The Bart Northcote Series Book 2 by Murray Lee Eiland, Jr. When Matt Martin decides to find the woman he let get away almost 20 years ago, who was said to be pregnant at the time, he hires Bart to make the contact. Together, they travel to Bakersfield and reconcile with Roxanna and her beautiful daughter, Ariadne. After the group returns to Los Angeles, the status quo of Matt’s living arrangements is thrown out of alignment and someone within the ‘Family’ comes up with a plan to make things difficult. With determination and strong back up from a new business partner, Bart stays on top of the situation, making the right connections and bringing the authorities in at just the right time. Will the odd collection of circumstances fall together in time to save Ari and prevent the culprit from escaping with $5 million?

Extremely entertaining and fun to read, A Search For Family: The Bart Northcote Series Book 2 by Murray Lee Eiland, Jr. keeps you engaged and cheering along with the positive flow of the story. Bart is not the run of the mill investigator and adds a pleasant dimension to solving crime as he remains up beat and logical in his pursuit of clues. The supporting cast of characters is refreshing and adds a great deal of interest as Bart tries to put the pieces together in time to ensure success. This is the perfect read for a relaxing break from the stresses of everyday life. Great job! I truly enjoyed reading this story.
