Alienchem by Erasto Banks is a unique tale loosely based on a true story. In Alienchem we meet Re-up and Pooh, two drug dealers wanting to make the big time. Their supplier furnishes them with Alienchem, a new type of marijuana. The pothead does not feel a buzz but quickly goes to sleep, when an apparent alien would appear and impersonate someone the smoker knew. Chaco thought her mother wanted her to go after chips and dip, which she did in her underwear and quickly got arrested. And Granny Disco thought her favorite actor was cooking eggs for her. When a news station reported on the popularity of the new strain, Re-up and Pooh couldn’t keep up with demand. They saw their dream of owning a casino within their reach. Until Slim P. came along...

Alienchem is packed with tongue in cheek humor about the world of marijuana. Author Erasto Banks has captured the character of the drug community in vivid, comic detail. But beyond the sex, raunchy language, and drugs, this is a story about the American dream and two young men who would not give up on it. Erasto Banks is a talented writer and did a good job of bringing his characters and their world to life.
