Allure is a romance by Gina Ferguson. How hard is it to find someone to partner with? Darby Daxton Deel is in a dilemma. Her business, The Bare Day Spa, has a perfect location and the best parking space, and they do good business but why is she having so much difficulty finding a company to partner with? Thankfully, her cousin Rachel Everly secures her a meeting with handsome CEO, Brett Slade. He wants to know how she runs her business before signing a contract. Darby feels both nervous and excited. Brett Slade has been playing hard-to-get with the whole business partners thing so she is wary but she will be having a solo meeting with him and just thinking about it makes her heart race a little. Will sparks fly when the two of them finally meet? Where will it lead them?

Allure has a first-person narrative with succinct descriptions and witty dialogue. The attraction between Darby and Brett is instantaneous. Darby looks at her future business partner and knows there is something magnetic between them. Sadly their relationship as business partners complicates things so there is a constant push and pull, hot and cold dynamic between them. The storyline is fast-paced. Things between Darby and Brett are like fireworks burning hot and quick. There is an unspoken complication between them and constant misunderstandings. Their steamy romance is riddled with uncertainties and drama. The deeper I got into the story the more a part of me wanted to knock some sense into their heads. Gina Ferguson took me on a surprising and exciting ride. With its passionate prose, titillating characters, dramatic scenarios, and a cliffhanger ending, this is a memorable read.

Allure is an erotic romance thriller by Gina Ferguson. Darby Daxton Deel is a fiercely independent woman, running a successful business as the proprietor of Bare Day Spa in Big Bay Lake. But her uncomplicated life turns upside down when the most eligible bachelor in the town and CEO of Park-Slade Industries, Brett Slade, offers her a partnership. Feeling an intense mutual attraction from the start, Darby and Brett begin a passionate romance, slowly falling in love with each other. Brett introduces Darby to some of his friends, who open Darby's eyes to new ways of sexual exploration. But unbeknownst to Darby, a couple of Brett's friends are involved in criminal enterprises, jeopardizing Brett's business and putting all their lives at risk. Will Darby and Brett find a way to be together?

Allure is a must-read for fans of Fifty Shades of Grey. Much like E.L. James's hugely successful book series, Gina Ferguson's novel follows a young woman's journey to sexual experimentation after meeting a successful and handsome businessman, unwittingly embroiling herself in a dangerous situation. Ferguson's prose is crisp and concise, using a minimalistic style with few wasted words. The plot moves quickly, with some unexpected turns of events that will take you by surprise. Darby and Brett have phenomenal chemistry, and every single scene featuring the two together felt intoxicating. Overall, I found the book to be a refreshing read in the romance genre. I think anyone who loves erotic thrillers will enjoy this one a lot.

Allure by Gina Ferguson is a gripping and intense young adult romance novel about dangerous love. Darby Daxton Deel is the sole proprietor of the Bare Day Spa in Big Bay Lake and is about to partner her business with Park-Slate Industries. Even from the beginning, the very handsome CEO of Park-Slate Industries, Brett Slade, played hard to get. Darby is well aware that Brett is the most eligible man in town, thus, when he asks her after their first dinner together if he could kiss her, she agrees. However, Brett pulls back immediately and tells her he never mixes business with pleasure. Why does Brett make her feel like she's in the best sexual fantasy of her life and then act like he's not into her? Will Darby still want Brett after she learns the truth about his shady past?

The captivating dialogue and the disturbing and intense scenes make Allure by Gina Ferguson the best read for the weekend. The writing flows nicely, and because I couldn't guess where the story was going, I turned the pages compulsively. This fast-paced novel has romance, heat, drama, and chemistry that sparks from the start. It provides heavy doses of peril and suspense that make Darby and Brett's love story compelling and enjoyable. I am so invested in this story, especially because of the unexpected and intriguing ending; I can't wait to know what happens in the next installment. Allure is a wild and spicy ride you can devour in one sitting. I would recommend it to anyone interested in a quick steamy love story.

Gina Ferguson’s Allure is a romantic suspense novel about the love lives of Darby Daxton Deel and Brett Slade. Darby’s Bare Day Spa business is on the verge of collapsing and urgently needs an investor. Park Slate’s CEO, Brett Slade, is the investor who could step in and save the day but plays hard to get. Eventually, he gives in and comes to inspect the business. When Darby and Brett met, it was love at first sight. However, Brett pulls the “I do not mix pleasure with business” card. Over time, his love for Darby can no longer be suppressed, and he decides to break this rule for her. The two kindle their love and enjoy each other’s company until Brett’s past, full of secrets, catches up with them. This causes terror and horror in their lives and tests how deep their love for each other is and if they are willing to persevere.

Gina Ferguson effortlessly maintained Allure’s steady pace, developing and centering major plot shifts around the protagonists. This built on the entire storyline’s suspense and allowed Gina to introduce catharsis in every conflict. The story was fast-paced, and the author did a great job of building tension. She used dialogue to show how different characters were affected by each event. The characters were well-developed and had flaws, which made it easier to relate to their problems and empathize with their feelings; for instance, when Brett and Darby warmed up to each other and there was tension in challenging situations. I recommend this novel to readers who love reading romance. They’ll like how obstacles keep getting in the way of the two lovers and make the story exciting. In an overly capitalist world with corporate competition, the author uses love as the central theme to show how couples must work through their problems and shelve selfish ambitions.
