"America’s Unfortunate Sons and Daughters" by Sam Gaylord discusses his opinions on the Iraqi War. This book was written during the Bush administration. Gaylord writes to inform. He asks the question, “Why are we sending your children into war?” It is obvious that Gaylord does not agree with the decisions the Bush administration made, nor does he have much respect for the Bush/Cheney administration as a whole. Gaylord does not accept the title Democrat or Republican. He is an American. At no time is Mr. Gaylord unpatriotic. Gaylord does not only discuss the Iraqi War. He takes us back in time to discuss WWII.

I appreciate Gaylord’s viewpoint. He made me rethink some of my opinions. He writes in an easy to comprehend manner. The reader does not have to agree with all of Mr. Gaylord’s opinions to learn much from this book. I would suggest this book for all Americans. You do not have to agree but you should think, and not blindly follow. You should be informed.
