Author Biography

Hello, fellow book lover. My name is Tony Knapp and I currently reside in Riverside, California. However, our family has a cabin outside of Flagstaff, Arizona where I love to spend time relaxing and writing. I spent 33 years as an educator in California. I taught American History and U.S. Government in High School, and also served as a middle school teacher. That is a challenging job! I then joined the world of school administration, serving as an assistant principal and principal before moving to the district level as a Director and finishing my career as an Assistant Superintendent. Along the way I got a Master's Degree in National Security as my love for all things "politics" saw me venture into a world quite different from public education. I met some wonderful individuals whose primary goal was to serve their country. I wrote my first book, An Autumn Mist, after I retired. It is a story about those men and women who are willing to sacrifice all for family and country. I expect the sequel, A Summer Storm, to be ready this fall.

An Autumn Mist is a work of fiction in the thriller subgenre and was penned by Tony Knapp. Written for the adult reading audience, this book contains exciting elements of suspense and espionage and some scenes of moderate violence. We follow a trio of central figures who are led by protagonist Jason "Hawk" McCullough, a special agent who finds his team attacked after a covert mission in North Korea. With the elusive and mysterious Lizzy Locke in tow, Hawk and FBI agent Ryan Fletcher find themselves embroiled in the plans of a madman, which will put them, their city, and the wider world in danger as events spiral out of all control.

Author Tony Knapp delivers an exciting spy thriller novel that is well worth a read and will certainly help you escape the drudgery of the real world for a wild afternoon of thrills and spills. One of the features I especially enjoyed about this book was the balance in its pacing, taking readers from thoughtful moments of slow-burning plot reveal into shocking action scenes, sudden violence, and brilliant revelations. This makes it true suspense, as we never know what is around the corner. I also really enjoyed the character development and the diversity between the three central characters, who played off one another's skillsets really well. Overall, I would certainly recommend An Autumn Mist to fans of spy thrillers with an engaging plot and characters and for those looking for a capable author who delivers on every promise.
