Angry Octopus Color Me Happy, Color Me Calm: A Self-help Kid's Coloring Book for Overcoming Anxiety, Anger, Worry, and Stress by Lori Lite is an interactive and fun coloring book in which children get to see the Angry Octopus using great techniques to express his feelings and relax in a healthy way. The book is full of positive affirmations and the pictures are based on the affirmations and emotions. The images instill a sense of calmness in young readers while coloring. The coloring activity also helps to enhance the creativity and imagination of youngsters and can be therapeutic. Coloring always has a calming effect, has healing powers, and is helpful to get through good and bad times, just like music.

I like the author’s idea of combining positive affirmations along with coloring as it helps parents, educators, tutors, and counselors understand the message and the concept. The coloring book pulls in children to actively participate. It is a perfect book for interactive sessions in classrooms, and Angry Octopus will engage kids with different techniques. The coloring pages have underwater scenes, garden designs, nature, a mandala, and many other fascinating pictures that will keep young readers occupied, relaxed, and motivated. It is a good book for parents to keep their children busy and also bring out their imagination and creativity, along with teaching them positive affirmations. Children will love the character of the Angry Octopus and his techniques of calming the mind, reducing stress, controlling anger, and being happy. This book will definitely come in handy both at home and in classrooms when it comes to interacting with children.
