Whoa! That's what I thought when I finished reading Ashes of the Innocent, the second book in the Abyssal Sanctuary series by author Gavin Hetherington. This book is a rip roaring thrill ride that will keep readers on the edge of their seats and with their hearts in their throats! Follow the story of the staff of the Pandora Cafe, a group still reeling from the cruel deaths of the Bellisario family. Each of them will face some of the most horrific and difficult situations that any person could encounter, including being buried alive, dealing with satanic cults and being caught by a couple who love to kill, among other fates. The city of Lakefield View will never be the same as each person uncovers more secrets and vows to survive their own personal dilemmas.

I so enjoyed Ashes of the Innocent. This was a fantastic horror story and kept me completely engrossed from the very first page until the very last. Author Gavin Hetherington has done a great job in creating relatable characters and absolutely terrifying situations. Any reader who enjoys the horror genre will thoroughly enjoy this book, and I highly recommend that they read it. For those of you who aren't quite sure how you feel about a horror related read, you should still give this book a chance, because it has such an interesting and unique story line.
