Bag Up! Backpacking Around Israel Without any Plan by Adam Fraiel is the fascinating journey of the author and his friend, Dom, whose trip filled with excitement, fear, and misery captures the magic of their journey in the unpredictable land of Israel. The book throws light on backpacking in Israel and the author's experiences as a backpacker will give readers a peek into the beauty of the Promised Land in an adventurous way. This memoir will encourage readers to pack their bags and travel to Israel and explore the land, just like the author and his friend did; to embrace the unpredictability of this trip with open arms and realize who we are and how big/small the world is.

Whether it is Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Akko, or any of the other places, reading about their adventures in Israel will leave readers enchanted by the history, old world charm, and beauty of the country that has a lot to offer travelers. The few photographs shared in the book capture the rawness and beauty of the land and I genuinely wish the author had included more pictures for readers just to experience the element of mysticism, spiritual vibes, and the enigma of the place more. The narration is detailed yet crisp, and the experiences will make it easy for other travelers to plan their trip to Israel and soak up the history, culture, sights, and sounds of the place. I like the relentless spirit and determination of the author and his friend to go backpacking. This will ignite the passion for adventure inside all travelers.
