Author Biography

Alessa Neeck is a Broadway actress who lives in New York City. She started training as a ballerina at a young age, and quickly discovered her passion for the theater. She graduated with a BFA from the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati. Bella Bunhead was inspired by her multi-talented childhood friends, and is dedicated to her beloved doxies, Gracie and Bruno. This is her first children’s book.

Bella Bunhead by Alessa Neeck is a delightful story for young readers where Bella and her dog, Bruno, will take you on a trip of self-discovery. Bella is trying her hand at various things to find out her area of interest and what will make her different from others. The book takes you on a colorful journey with Bella and her dog. The story has a strong message to all readers out there which is inspiring and motivating. The author tells kids to try out various things to find out their characteristics which will make them special. Does Bella finally find out what makes her special?

The powerful concept behind the story is what makes this book a must-read for kids. It teaches kids acceptance and to be comfortable with their own self. The colorful illustrations give the book life and movement and one can easily relate to the inner struggle going on in Bella's life. This book will resonate well with all kids and it teaches them how important it is to accept themselves first and work towards their areas of interest.

The message is wonderfully expressed and it is a perfect story book to be used for reading sessions in classrooms and libraries. Parents can also use it as a bedtime story. It is a book with great messages for girls and it tells them to celebrate their uniqueness in their own way and enjoy every moment of it.
