Billion Dollar Hack is a drama thriller by Colin Durrant. Called upon to investigate a severe security breach at his bank in New York, cybersecurity expert Gary discovers an insidious racket involving senior members of his own bank, Nigerian scammers, and members of the Ukrainian mafia. However, before he can pull the entire lid off the international scheme, Gary finds himself running for his life with a young woman named Jessica. Already betrayed once, Gary makes sure to proceed with caution while criminals and authorities track his every single move. Gary and his friends soon uncover a deep underlying conspiracy that may shake the very foundations of the US. Will he be able to expose the people responsible for the hack? Or will he perish trying to fight the powers that control America?

Inspired by real-life events, author Colin Durrant has crafted an engaging thriller that keeps surprising you with its unexpected twists and turns until the end. Billion Dollar Hack is a fast-paced rollercoaster that will entertain fans of cybercrime thrillers and conspiracy theory aficionados alike. The narrative is filled with technical jargon related to cyber security but Durrant inserts expository scenes into the plot to make sure even readers with little to no experience in hacking fundamentals can grasp the concepts. This is primarily a plot-driven story, and most of the characters play roles that directly adhere to the plot requirements. Overall, I enjoyed the book and will recommend it to readers who love action-packed thrillers featuring hackers.
