Blessed Is The Lord Prayers For My Daily Walk (Volume 2) by Stacey Cox is intended to be given as a gift. It opens with a page for the names of the giver, the recipient, the date, and a lined space for a personal message. It comprises thirty-two short prayers, all of them ending “In Jesus Name, Amen”. Each prayer resonates with every Christian believer, and the temptation to learn them is irresistible, which is marvellous. Consider these: Blessed is the Lord who has made me a suitable helper created for my destiny. You're my strength. In Jesus Name, Amen! Blessed is the Lord who loves me unconditionally. May I hear your word with an obedient heart and continuously submit myself to you. In Jesus Name, Amen!
Walking to work is, sadly, not possible for most of us, and concentrating on driving takes our full attention. That leaves the train, the bus, or making time to take exercise. A walk in a park, with or without a dog, is one possibility, but it is feasible to be more inventive. Gymnasiums have treadmills, exercise bicycles, and many other pieces of equipment, so why not turn off the headphones supplied to provide music or a film track to keep the mind occupied and turn to Our Lord in prayer? Wherever we are, and whatever we are doing, He will listen, and Blessed Is The Lord Prayers For My Daily Walk (Volume 2) puts into words feelings we might find hard to express. Stacey Cox supplies those words, and they are beautiful.
