Blind Spots by Patrick M. Garry really starts in earnest when the report of multiple murders is broadcast. The scale of the atrocity is huge in the local community. A mother and her three children are dead. Rumours abound as to who the perpetrator could be. Gunther Mulvaney investigates and arrests slum landlord Milo Krantz. He is the obvious culprit and his tenants support the notion that he deserves all that comes his way. After all, he has dealt cruelly with them for years. The evidence is stacked overwhelmingly against him until another person is arrested for the crime. Milo, nevertheless, refuses to back down; in fact he is more than willing to accept punishment, despite not having committed the crime.

Enter Judge Donna Davis and her wealthy, influential husband, Steve, into the picture. The couple apparently has a charmed life of privilege, but one of them is inextricably involved in this community tragedy, despite protests of innocence. There is obviously a cover-up, but of what, and by whom? Wealthy, distinguished people could suffer embarrassment should information be released. Gunther battles to uncover the truth and to stop an innocent man taking the rap.

Blind Spots makes engrossing reading. This is a great story, an enthralling tale with a surprising twist, which I loved. I found the book to be one I could not put down easily. I just had to solve the mystery, and I am sure any other reader will find the same applies. Blind Spots is excellent and well-written; it's well plotted and well worth the time it takes to read. I loved it and enjoyed every page.
