Author Biography

A desire to see more novels with positive, sexy, and three-dimensional African American characters as soul mates, friends, and lovers, inspired the author to take on the challenge of penning such romantic reads. She is the author of two paranormal romance series: Winged Warriors and Death and Destiny. She's also embarked on a science fiction romance series, Forever Yours. N.D. likes to read historical and paranormal romance novels, as well as comics and manga.

A book that transported me to exciting places, Bound Souls by N.D. Jones is a delightful fantasy that will have any reader doubt anything they know about love, science, and faith. Is there a limit to how much one soul can love another? Such is the question explored in this book that features a compelling blend of romance and fantasy. Meet Regent Lela of Asiya, the most powerful person on her planet, and a person who can’t save her beloved husband and soulmate, Zion. They have lived together, bound by a strong bond of love for thirty years, but now Zion must leave. Lela refuses to let him go. In some strange way, the bond of their love continues to live on beyond the grave. Read on to see what happens when a third person comes into the equation.

Bound Souls is a gloriously narrated story, a tale with a riveting setting and extraordinary characters. I loved it from the beginning, following Lela and Zion in a boisterous argument. The way N.D. Jones explores the emotional intelligence and the psychological depths of the characters is wonderful. The plot is well-paced and the reader can’t help but go on reading to find out what happens to the characters. The conflict is well-developed and it is mostly psychological. A story that is character-driven, filled with numerous dramatic scenes, Bound Souls will transport readers into realities that will make them dream and long for a love that is both redeeming and lasting. I enjoyed every bit of this story.

Bound Souls (Forever Yours Book 1) by N.D. Jones is a novel about love lost and found, especially true love. This is the story of a woman named Lela; she is from a planet called Asiya, but even she is helpless when it comes to fate. She and the love of her life, Zion Grace, have loved each other for what seems like an eternity. They have lived together and loved together for thirty years, and now his days are over and there is nothing that she can do about it. They were friends and then they became husband and wife; now one has died and the other has to live her life.

But there is one thing: Zion and Lela are soul mates and nothing can keep them away from each other, not even death. Even dead, Zion knows that he has to do something for Lela; he knows that he has to help her move forward, find another man and get on with her life without him. But how can he do that when he loves her so much? Even dead, he aches for her! So what can they do? How can any of them move forward when the other half of them is so far away?

Bound Souls is a very beautiful and simply perfect novel that will grip your heart tight from the moment you start reading. You cannot help but feel hopelessly in love with the love Zion and Lela have for each other. It is strong, faithful, trusting and simply exquisite. These are not lovey-dovey characters, they are a strong couple, both of them pulling their weight and working equally to make something impossible work. Just saying that I loved this novel is not enough! I don’t even have words! This is fantastic, marvelous, splendid and spectacular!

Zion has been adrift, a restless soul and it is up to him to let go of Lela and grant her the ability to let go of him until they meet again for eternity. What they require of Zion will test every fiber of his being to do the right thing, no matter how desperately it hurts and how much he will have to give up.
Will he set Lela’s heart free to live and love again? Will she then be able to fulfill her destiny?

N.D. Jones has pulled out all of the stops on this emotional and fascinating read that almost begs each reader to immerse themselves in each page, each scene and in the hearts of every character. Certainly not a fast-paced or action-packed tale, the action is through the turmoil each character feels. So very sad at times, so very uplifting at other times, this tale is one of love, loss, understanding and trusting one’s heart enough to let go until, once again, these soulmates can be together.

Wonderfully written highly charged with intense emotions, feel the power of love, witness destiny and fate play out before your very eyes, thanks to the heartfelt writing of N.D. Jones.

Angel

What I like about the characters Lela and Zion in this novel is their deeper, undying spiritual connection they have for each other and there's an underlying uniqueness to it that's rare, captivating and beautiful in its context and symmetry. Their interaction and conversations with each other were so soulfully written that in itself was a skill of valiance I found most appealing and the author N.D. Jones did this with such flawlessness that it made it poignant, stratospheric and seductive at the same time. Brilliance would be in an understatement in this review. But this book leaves me with a loss for words to describe it.
