Bug Hunt explains the difference between bugs and insects. A boy searches for bugs outside his house and every time he finds an insect or other creature, he points out the difference. Bug Hunt offers vocabulary enrichment. This story will help to develop the child reader's development through healthy values such as respect for the environment. The protagonist is a child who likes insects and enjoys playing outdoors. Brooke Vitale presents us with plenty of information in a story with short sentences so that young people can practice reading. At the conclusion, she adds activities in the form of games that reinforce early literacy.
Today, many children have lost contact with plants and insects. That doesn’t have to be the case, as nature offers a complete sensory experience, allowing you to touch, smell, see, hear, and taste. I enjoyed Bug Hunt because it’s a good example for children to follow. Brooke Vitale introduces nature as an entertaining environment. I think this is important because children should take advantage of their opportunities to play in the park and discover that bugs and insects are fascinating. Being part of nature will make children more confident but they will also learn to value all living beings. When children get closer to nature, they become more imaginative, and through observation, they improve their reasoning ability. With books like this, children will develop an interest in exploring and learning new things on their own.
