"Cabo & Coral Dog Days of Summer" is an uplifting and inspirational story written by Dr. Udo Wahn and illustrated by Jennifer Belote. Cabo and Coral are two friends who share a loved passion for surfing and dogs. During their summer vacation, the two decide to adopt their dogs from a local rescue center and name them Wimpy and Gimpy. Gimpy is a three-legged dog, but full of sheer determination and strength. Cabo and Coral decide to teach the dogs how to surf. They give their pooches an fun outlet from everyday life and even organize a "Hangin' Paw for a Cause" Surf Contest for dogs. The locals get involved and support Cabo and Coral's dreams and achievements.

Dr. Udo Wahn does an extraordinary job in writing an inspiring story on how two children come together, rescue abandoned animals and are loved by their community. The illustrations are done brilliantly in water color, which captures the eye and brings the book to life nicely. Each illustration looks like a masterpiece painting and includes a myriad of sea life such as sea turtles, pelicans, dolphins, sea lions, and colorful fish. The pages flow easily and the story-line is attractive. Dr. Udo Wahn truly puts his soul into this book and you can feel his passion for the environment and sea-life. Children will come away feeling empowered with a great lesson learned about following their heart and having compassion and dedication to follow their dreams. I highly recommend this book for all children because it is a heart-warming story of inspiration and hope. They will not be disapointed!
