Author Biography

From bank to books, I retired in 2016 from a thirty-two year career in banking to write Lottie Loser. But Charlotte had more to say, so the sequel, Call Me Charlotte was born.
Book III in the series, The Greysons, will release in 2019.
The married mother of three, I like to say that no one should give up on their dreams, and to believe in Fairytales. Mine came true and so can yours!

What a fun read! Call Me Charlotte by Dana L. Brown follows Lottie (call me Charlotte) as she is fired from her job as president of the Old Florida Bank on Anna Marie Island in Florida. She learns that one of her best friends from childhood and the love of her life, Nick, has been shot. Oh, Lord! Please let him live! Why has she been so stubborn? Charlotte and Nick reconcile, but will they make it to the altar? Nick’s brother confesses his love for Charlotte. Charlotte finds out something important and hopes she isn’t following in her mother’s footsteps. How will all this work out?

Call Me Charlotte by Dana L. Brown is one of those wonderful “feel-good” books you want to take to the beach or curl up with at the pool or in front of a fireplace. It’s full of love, wonder, and a few tears—happy ones. While there is conflict, it’s the kind of conflict that most people encounter in their lives, not conflict where someone has a curse, an unknown killer disease, murder and mayhem, etc. It’s a down-to-earth, love of your life got away, make mistakes, get over it and smile kind of read. I loved the easy to read short chapters, the fast paced plot, and the fact that I could read the book in just a day or two. If you are looking for a story to enjoy as you are enjoying life, vacationing, or just need something to smile about, this is the book for you.

Another wonderful book in the AMI series! Even with 3 small children in my house, I was able to read this book quickly because I had to find out how it concluded. Now, I have to patiently wait for the next book to really find out how it ends!

I enjoyed learning more about the Lottie Loser characters while getting to know some new characters as well. I love how this book draws you in and you feel like you are right there in Anna Maria with them.

As one who does not have a lot of free time, I appreciated how fun and easy to read this book is. It was great to read while relaxing over Memorial Day weekend! If you enjoy real-life stories with fun twists and turns, I highly recommend this book. I loved seeing the growth in Charlotte and cannot wait to see where the next book in the series takes her!
