Gigi Devine Murfitt is a fantastic author. She has created a devotional for caregivers. There are lots of devotionals out there, one for moms, kids, dads, grandparents. All of them are amazing. But this one...well, this one is special. We don't always think of caregivers as people deserving praise or emotional contribution to the world. But, through this 144 page devotion. Gigi has done it. She has created a wonderful and amazing "on-the-go" book for that special person who takes care of the kids, the ailing parents and grandparents, the one person who can make us feel better.

Whether you are a parent, a grandchild, or child, this book is written for you in someway. Maybe you are like me (and Gigi!) and have taken care of a child with birth defects. Or maybe you are like me, and helped take care of a grandparent with Alzheimer's. Or, a CNA like I was and took care of OTHER peoples parents and grandparents. No matter what you are in the Caregiver field, this book is written for YOU! Gigi puts a scripture passage before each devotional story, which comes from her own life experiences as a caregiver. She adds a beautiful prayer after each and that is followed by daily activities to coordinate with the devotion itself. AWESOME!

I highly recommend this devotional with 5 stars. I smiled, I cried, and I related well with the emotions and thoughts that Gigi put into each of her stories. This is perfect if you are a caregiver, or maybe if you are looking for a gift to give that special person taking care of your ailing special person, this would be a WONDERFULLY amazing book to give them! They can take it EVERYWHERE and when they are feeling a little down about themselves, they'll get a great pick-me-up!!!
