"Catch Your Bookkeeper.com" is a nifty book which belongs on the desk (and not the shelf) of each and every business owner, both large and small. Author Thomas Gatto has provided employees with easy and smart ways to control employee theft and embezzlement. He first explains the nature and extent of embezzlement and he says the billions of dollars business owners lose each and every year is almost totally preventable with simple overwatching techniques. The ten secret methods to control company assets are explained and then, four free bonus secrets are revealed. Gatto then offers forty prevention suggestions for routine overseeing of the business. He speaks about the value of control stamps and he warns against the use of signature stamps. The author does all of this in fifty-eight pages of no-nonsense advice.

It is obvious that Gatto knows his stuff. He spent over fifteen years catching employee thieves via audits and various sampling techniques. Being a former small business owner, I found this book easy to read and invaluable. Gatto claims that if an employer oversees using his tried and true suggestions, the nearly 500 million in embezzlements and employee theft per year could be nearly eradicated. He tells the reader what they should expect from the book and he delivers! The author says that embezzlement occurs across class, race, title and gender and that every trusting employer is at risk to be "taken" by an employee. Employers, seize the opportunity to protect your company assets. It is only an hour's read away!
