Catwalk, Dream by S.Q. Orpin is a thrilling tale of life, love, and decisions. Casi Roberts, queen of glitz, is a swimsuit model. By night, she travels the LA club scene with Alix Grey, a celebrity artist and her latest boyfriend. Her life is lived through social media, total perfection, but it all comes crashing down when an accident leaves her scarred, physically and emotionally. As she battles the past, and tries to maintain a relationship with her drug-addicted mother, Sonya, Casi struggles to get some balance back in her life. Then she meets Kyle Jensen. A man who has built a façade around himself, a man who lives a life some could only dream of while he keeps Jake, his brother, in line. As his relationship with Casi deepens, he starts to question everything about his own life. Both need to decide – will they step away from the lives they lead now and take a chance on each other, or will buried secrets wreck everything?
Catwalk, Dream by S.Q. Orpin is a book that made for a thrilling read. I couldn’t put it down, hooked by the lives of the main protagonists and caught up in the many twists and turns that the story took. The characters were very real to life, sometimes endearing, sometimes you wanted to bang their heads together, but they were identifiable and likable and that makes them winners to me. The plot was a bit of a roller coaster ride, but one that was easy to hang on to. It’s the kind of story that gets its teeth into you and really doesn’t want to let go until you reach the end – which of course leaves you waiting for the next book! Really enjoyed it, highly recommended for anyone who likes a good contemporary romance with a bit of girl-power thrown in for good luck.
