Author Biography

Jalpa Williby immigrated to the United States at the age of eight. Faced with many obstacles in the “new country”, including learning English, Williby pushed herself to overcome all of the challenges. A voracious reader, Williby’s adolescence was marked by a promising academic career. After graduating with a Bachelors of Science from the University of Illinois, Williby went on to earn Masters in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University. Her passion for helping her patients led her to a specialty in neuroscience, focusing on children and adults with neurological impairments. Juggling her time as a wife, a mother, and working full-time, her love for books never subsided.
Never the one to shy away from any challenges, Williby’s most recent endeavor is to conquer the literary world.
Williby’s debut novel, Chaysing Dreams, has been successful and has received multiple five star reviews from Readers’ Favorite, earning the five star seal. Chaysing Dreams won the Gold Medal from Readers' Favorite Book Award Contest for Romance/Suspense. It has also received the IBD award as well as the Authorship Excellence seal from Authors' Cave. Williby recently released the highly anticipated sequel, Chaysing Memories, which received multiple five star reviews from Readers’ Favorite, and just won a Gold Medal from Readers' Favorite in Romance Suspense category. With both novels being Amazon best sellers, Williby is now feverishly working on the final installment, Chaysing Destiny.

In Chaysing Memories by Jalpa Williby, we find a now grown up Tess moving on with her life, and in training for the special forces in the U.S. Military. But all is not well in Tess' world. She has memory lapses of a three-week time period she refers to as a “get-away.” She can't remember where she was, why she was gone, or who she was with. And her dreams are back, dreams filled with beautiful grey eyes, but little else. She only knows that whoever it is made her very happy, but he left her. Her friend Kylie is able to fill in some of her “blank” spots, but it doesn't jog her memory. Through her training, she is called upon to help find a missing agent named Chayse Pierce - the only other person her boss knows of that is like her, having special abilities. Tess figures out her dream and realizes she is certain she knows where Chayse may be, and she gets special help from her dog Gem in finding him. With her boss and the five special agents of Chayse's team, Tess and Gem set out to find Chayse. Gem locates the underground base he's being held in, and after a high tension, gripping battle, an emaciated and barely alive Chayse is taken from the facility and flown to a secret medical center. But with one mystery solved, Tess is confronted with even more as she struggles to unravel the mysteries still locked in her mind.

I could easily describe Chaysing Memories by Jalpa Williby in one word: WOW. I've read her first book in this series, Chaysing Dreams, so I knew Chaysing Memories would be good. I was blown away at just how incredibly good it was. Jalpa's writing can only be described as pure literary artistry, and it is in clear abundance in Chaysing Memories. Right from the beginning, I was slowly inching my way to the edge of my seat. This story unfolds in one heart-racing scene after another. It's not that the story is rushed; on the contrary, it is perfectly paced, but the very nature of the plot lends itself to the danger you know is lurking, and Ms. Williby allows it to come to life in some shocking moments. I'm truly impressed, almost beyond words. I've heard there is another book coming up, Chaysing Destiny. I'm not sure how Ms. Williby will be able to surpass the magic of Chaysing Memories, but you can bet I'll be reading it to find out! I highly recommend this book, but if you want the full impact, I strongly suggest you read Chaysing Dreams first. Together, they will take your breath away.

The heart often knows what the mind can’t or won’t accept. That is what defines Tess as she is confronted with a new man in her life. Chaysing Memories: Book 2 by Jalpa Williby describes the emotional turmoil Tess faces as she completes a dangerous assignment to locate and rescue a fellow agent. Born with special abilities, Tess dreams of a man with gray eyes and comes to realize he is trying to communicate with her. After the rescue, they become closer and closer, but Tess is tormented with excruciating headaches when certain thoughts run through her mind. She knows that her friends and even her dog, Gem, know something about the time period she can’t remember and what role Chayse has played in her life, but the physical pain keeps the memories hidden. Will she remember in time to make a difference in her life and enjoy the relationship she hopes to have with the mysterious agent?

Chaysing Memories: Book 2 picks up where Chaysing Dreams left off. Even without reading book 1, however, this book provides plenty of action and exposition so that it stands well by itself. Coming to terms with emotions is the key to this book by Jalpa Williby – not only for the main character, Tess, but for her friends as well. Tess learns that thinking harder about something does not always make it clearer – sometimes you just have to trust your heart and lean on your friends. When things look darkest, you still have to look for the ray of light to show you the way through and Tess derives strength from a secret she holds close.

Chaysing Memories is the sequel to Chaysing Dreams by Jalpa Williby. It continues with Tess still being plagued with dreams about a certain gray-eyed man whom she doesn’t remember. She’s studying to be a doctor, and at the same time training to be a special agent for the US government. Her first mission will be to rescue Chayse Pierce who has been captured by an unknown group. It’s up to Tess to find and save him by getting signs from her dreams. Tess may not remember anything at all about Chayse or their past, but she can’t help but feel deep emotions for Chayse. These feelings drive her to decipher the clues immediately before it’s too late for Chayse.

Chaysing Memories is even better than the first book. Jalpa Williby put in more action and adventures, new interesting characters and more sensational twists. It was written well from the beginning until the end. I love how Tess was still in love with Chayse although she can’t remember him. I also liked how Chayse always looked out for Tess, even going as far as sacrificing himself. He is one impressive guy. I was kind of surprised with Jack and Kylie, but it was one of those sensational twists I was talking about. The plot developed well, the ending was heartbreaking but I’m still holding out hope that something monumental will happen in the third book. Still many questions are left unanswered, building the anticipation for the next book. I can’t wait to get my hands on the succeeding installment of this series.
