Author Biography

I am passionate about helping people discover their unique purpose and share it with the world. So many men and women are searching for a more meaningful life, and it's not easy in our fast-paced culture to slow down and reflect on what makes us happy.
I have a master's degree in education/sociology from the University of Washington and ten years' teaching experience, where my focus was on reading, creativity, and instilling feelings of self-worth in my students. I also spent 25 years in the hospitality industry, taking care of guests and hearing their stories.
I have been A Course in Miracles student for many years and am also a cancer-survivor. While going through radiation treatment, I increased my meditation time and read over 200 books on healing. I started applying all that I had learned about the power of our thoughts and beliefs to overcome fear, and this led me to incorporating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy into my daily practice. Choices from the Heart is the culmination of these experiences, and I am very excited to share it with others so we can all make this world a better place.

Choices From The Heart: A Journal For Bringing Joy Into Your Life! by Diane Hemmings is an inspiring 365-day journal for readers who want a new direction in this fast-paced technology-ruled world. The book is a handy manual that will help readers discover their unique purpose, look within at their self-limiting beliefs, to face fear and let go of it, and to incorporate success and happiness habits in all areas of their lives. The 12 chapters in the book come with a theme, an exercise, and space for recording goals for that month. The main areas of focus are Spiritual, Family & Friends, Health & Fitness, Personal Goals, Career, Financial, and Fun. This is a good journal that will help readers deal with their blocks, fears, and other behaviors and patterns detrimental to their progress.

Everyone is looking for lasting change, inspiration, motivation, guidance, and encouragement to draw happiness, peace, and fulfillment into their lives. This journal is a good tool that will help when it comes to self-discovery and does so in an engaging and interactive way without sounding preachy. The affirmations shared by Diane Hemmings can be put into practice daily by readers to give them a positive outlook toward every day and life in general. Reading this journal is an exciting and wonderful journey and what I really enjoyed is the approach to the subject; the author makes it interesting, adventurous, and fun, and that is what pulls the reader into the book. Choices From The Heart can be read and re-read while dealing with challenging situations and adversities in life. Putting down thoughts on paper is also the best way to look into the inner self and see what changes are required for transformation. Let us all start taking small steps from today onward by setting personal goals and emerging into the light.
