Conversations From Heaven: Advice and Guidance from My Beloved Wife by Ward Edward Barcafer, Jr. is the third in a series of books that address life after death. It provides communications to Barcafer from Suzette Shockley-Barcafer, his late wife of thirty-three years, which describe heaven and the life of the soul after the death of the body. Topics include unconditional love; the purpose of our life on earth; our true identity as soul, spirit, and consciousness; the role of free will; the makeup of the universe; life on other planets; reincarnation; and the progress of our souls after death including those of children. The essential message is that we are not our bodies and that learning to love each other unconditionally is our purpose on earth.
The immortality of the soul is a topic that has engaged human thought since ancient times. Though understood differently, it is a shared teaching of many world religions as well as native and tribal beliefs. Ward Edward Barcafer, Jr. offers a beautiful image of life after death, one which would greatly comfort those who have lost a loved one, especially children. The concept that we are here on earth to learn how to love unconditionally is one that my own faith embraces. With the turmoil in the world and the increasingly divisive political, racial, and religious conflicts seeming to surround us, the calming messages of love, hope, and faith which Barcafer records in Conversations From Heaven are just what we need. “Just have faith that there is a grand plan to life and it will unfold eventually.” I couldn’t agree more.
