Steven Belden is a retired real estate developer and restaurant owner now living in Sun City, Arizona. For nearly 30 years he raised award winning American Paint Horses.
In addition to writing suspense thriller novels, Steven is an advocate for the adoption of senior dogs. His 12yr old Bearded Collie passed away at home, in February 2015, from congestive heart failure. Thirty days later he adopted a 12yr old Border Collie.
His rally cry for giving senior dogs a forever home is: they have a joy for life that inspires and a will to live that humbles. They will gratefully give you a piece of their heart.

Counterblow by Steven Belden is the continuation of Memories and begins where Memories ended. Cody and Tiffany are married and on their honeymoon; they expect nothing but relaxation, bliss, each other's company and no calls from the officials. After making a great breakthrough in a sex trafficking case, they are least bothered with the world. They are too busy being in love and happy to waste their energies on something else. Just when they thought that everything was going to be okay, this came crashing down. The enemies of society and humanity are not backing down that easily. The sex trafficking ring is not going down quietly. They will do whatever they can do scare Cody and Tiffany away. Cody and Tiffany's friends and families are being attacked. Cody's special ability and Tiffany's impeccable talent won the battle last time, but can they protect their loved ones from the attack of the unknown?
Steven Belden wrote another thrilling novel in his Brannon series. The first novel was great and I was expecting the same from Mr. Belden. I am very glad that he did not disappoint me. Just like Memories, Counterblow is an exciting and thrilling tale of justice and good vs evil. Tiffany and Cody were once again a great team and their connection seemed deeper than before, perhaps because they are married now and have a special bond. The story was eloquently put and the mystery was great. It is everything that I expected from Belden and he nailed another perfect novel. The novel is superbly written with flawless ease, and the composition of the characters was amazing.
