Year 2032, Las Vegas Nevada, underground tunnels, religious cults and a serial killer is the setting for book one in P.I. Barringtons first ever book" Crucifying Angel", in the Future Imperfect series.
Payce Halligan, LVPD has just been assigned a new partner, Gavin McAllister, something she was not looking forward to. After losing her other partner in a shooting accident she is quite content on working solo, that way she i s not responsible for anyone but herself. When the call comes in for three separate crime scenes, it was soon apparent that with the MO on each, they were committed by the same person. Each young woman suffered under a sadistic ritual, crucified on a cross upside down, only after they had been stabbed and initials carved into them. With clues taking them closer to finding the killer little did they know they were about to fall into the clutches of this madman going by the initials CA or "The Crucifying Angel" and into a situation that is bigger than they expected?
Once I started this book I could not put it down. The story is fast paced right from the very beginning and is rather believable. It will leave the reader hungering for book two ... Recommended for all who are looking for an excellent thriller.
