Bree Matthews lost her husband 4 years ago and has had to make a new life for herself and her son. Bree has started over with Kade, and he wants to adopt her son. Bree and Samson, her rescue dog, find a baby in the woods outside of Rock Harbor, Michigan. When she takes the baby home with her, she becomes attached. She continues working with the officials to find the parents of this child. They find out that this is not the only infant coming up missing. Murder, kidnapping, and a surprise affects Bree’s life and marriage. Is she really married to Kade?? Faith, family, and friends help her through this trial.

Cry In The Night is another good Rock Harbor novel. It has everything in it: love, suspense, faith, and intrigue. Colleen Coble keeps you wondering what will happen next. It was hard to put the book down to get some sleep. I became involved in the plot and wanted to find out what was happening and why. I eagerly await the next installment in this series.

Cry in the Night is a continuation of the Rock Harbor series. I haven't read the previous books but I never felt lost or just thrown into the story. This book can very easily stand alone because Colleen does a fantastic job of filling in the missing pieces without going overboard.

This book is full of mystery and suspense, without the romance. Bree is a strong and independent woman; Davy is her son who is getting to the age where he wants to be treated less like a child; and Kade is Bree's new husband after her first husband died (in a previous book). When they start seeing things that just can't be real this new family could be torn apart in an instant. With so many strange things happening (missing babies, murder, suspicious people, a new mine), how can it all be tied together?

I loved how the story gave just enough information to see what is going on but also kept me wondering and trying to figure out "who dunnit." It was a page turner because the characters would get so close to being able to figure it all out but then would just miss it.

If you like mystery, suspense and action you're in for a treat!

Awesome book!! She never disappoints! I own all of her books and buy the new ones as soon as they come out!!

This page-turner is a suspense-filled story right from the beginning with an abandoned baby in peril of freezing to death in the harsh Michigan winter. It's a book that I did not want to put down, and therefore, I read it over the space of a 24-hour period. The characters were familiar to me as I had read an earlier Rock Harbor mystery, but even if this is your first Colleen Coble novel, the characters will seem like family before too many pages. The people of the small Michigan town are easy to know.

What a complex turn of events Bree has to face! After grieving for her first husband, who died in a plane crash, Bree is happily married for the second time, when husband number one reappears. Is he a ghost or a windigo as some claim? What connection is there to the missing babies? Was a woman murdered, or was it an unfortunate accident?

Interwoven is the continuing story of Samson, a search and rescue dog. If you enjoy suspense, this one's for you.
