In Dangerous Magic by Jessica Lauryn, Jack Madera is a witch, trying to win Corinne Johnson’s love, but can he cast a spell to lure her in or will he fail to make her love him?

Corinne Johnson lost her everything when she lost her children. She married a man who was not what he pretended to be. A strange discovery led to her becoming separated from her children. But she is ready to do what it takes to get her children back. Engaged to re-marry the man responsible, she is determined to do whatever it takes to be in her children's lives. She is engaged to get married to him when her old colleague Jack Madera steps into her life. On top of that, she had a very steamy dream about him, and she starts to wonder if it was ever a dream!

Jack Madera is trying to find his biological father. His search takes him to his ex-co-worker, Corinne. With the change in the plan, he decides that he will make his trip longer and test the connection that he has always shared with Corinne. The fact that he is a witch can make problems for them, but the chemistry between them is igniting and growing with every passing moment.

Dangerous Magic by Jessica Lauryn is really a sweet story. For me, Jessica is a good character and a mother who is ready to do anything for her children, but Jack is another story. While today’s fiction is concentrating more on dominating, alpha male type heroes, Jack is sweet, kind, a companion and a friend. Yes, he is an alpha, but he is not mean and a plain asshole. That was a major plus in my opinion. I really enjoyed this book. I would love to read more about Jack and the world he lives in. It's intriguing. Five stars!
