Franklyn James from Kingston, Jamaica, holds a Master of Divinity, Diploma in Chaplaincy Certificate in Counselling; a B.A. in Theology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education and training.
My writings pulled from my Pastoral work, lectures in Grief Counseling, Bible Studies and Guidance & Counselling. I integrated my Theology, Counselling and Educational interest, experience and skills for development learners holistically. An advocate of problem-solving and self-directed learning that provides learners with opportunities to use information gained in everyday life and to help others.
I am an artist in the sense that I see like an artist. While others look at life's straight lines, its height, depth and width, I bend the lines with my imagination turning black and white into shades of colors. I possess the ability to pique everyone's curiosity with my original and inventive ways of thinking. But left on my own, I will opt for the eccentric or avant-garde. It is from this unique perspective I seek to help you discover your sense of enquiry, adventure, relaxation and fun in a literary world.

Daunting Devotionals by Franklyn James is a collection of 21 devotionals that will assist readers in maintaining their spiritual strength, help them to freely express who they are mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, and to lead an empowering and liberating life. This book will help readers become fully aware of who they are by learning to accept circumstances, relationships, and situations they dislike. This book will teach readers to appreciate themselves and accept themselves without being ashamed. The lessons learned from this book will stay with readers for the rest of their lives and will help them experience the divine anew.

I found the book uplifting and inspirational to strive towards leading a fulfilling life. It makes readers understand that challenges do not come into our lives to prevent us from living a healthy life, but to teach us how to strive for a successful life. The author speaks about temptations that come into our lives to entice us, and also guides us to get rid of all the things that are a potential threat to one's quest for freedom from sins and growth. The book also makes you look at yourself and accept yourself for what you are. As we go through the chapters, we understand that persistence will help us to maintain our course, and we begin to look at obstacles as opportunities and not problems. The devotionals help everyone to find their own way of doing personal devotionals that will have positive effects on their lives.
