Amanda West was a shy and laid-back person who avoided risks. This attitude affected her job choices and love life. Amanda gave up a lucrative stint in the fashion industry to become a home health care assistant to the frail and elderly. She loved her job and made a difference. Every day on her way to work, Amanda paused at a boutique to admire an exclusive pair of Manolo Blahnik Carolyne sling-backs that she couldn’t afford. However, fate had other plans when Suzanne gifted her the Manolo shoes. Amanda’s life took an exciting turn afterward. What will you do with a pair of shoes that can grant all your heart’s desires? Find out how far Amanda goes with her magic shoes in Dear Manolo by Linda Jamison.

Dear Manolo by Linda Jamison is a fantastic page-turner that effortlessly combines comedy and romance. This novel will appeal to those of us who want a good laugh while looking for something that challenges us to take the first step. Amanda’s life was a case study that reflected the disposition of the average person today. The fear of taking the first step, the first leap, the first risk all hold us back. Yet, it is never too late for us to dare to be more. Linda is a gifted storyteller who spun a realistic story with a fairytale touch. The plot was beautiful, and the character development was excellent. I loved the flowing dialogue and bubbly personalities in this novel. Josie was the perfect friend, and I think she deserves her book, same as Jerry, who grew on me. Please, write more, Linda.
