Demon Marked by Sara Snow is Book 1 of the Venandi Chronicles (An Urban Paranormal Romance Series). Georgia has turned 21 but her birthday was spent in a coma after an accident leaves her with a head injury. Did her boyfriend, Adam, stay by her side? No. Instead, he turned to her room-mate for solace. That, Georgia can deal with but, since the accident, some strange things have started happening. Strange things that involve demons. Carter Black is a vampire; a tall, dark, and handsome one who says he can help Georgia work out what’s going on and protect her. Georgia doesn’t quite know what to think and she’s determined never to trust another hot guy again but can she survive without him? Things are about to get hotter for Georgia in more ways than one; can her determination to be independent help her win the day?

Demon Marked by Sara Snow is a great start to the Venandi Chronicles. The story captivates you right from the beginning as you are introduced to an extremely strong female lead character. All the characters are developed very well into people that you can relate to on some level and are very likable. The story runs smoothly with plenty of action and the plot is easy to follow and highly engaging, drawing you in from the first page and transporting you to a magical world that feels very real, thanks to Sara Snow's delightful prose. This story has everything – action, suspense, plenty of thrills, and a budding romance thrown in for good measure. It is a fantastic start to what looks like a promising series. Looking forward to reading book 2.

Demon Marked is the first book in the Venandi Chronicles written by Sara Snow. Georgia Marie Patton is a twenty-year-old woman who is gunned down while on a late-night shift at work. When she wakes from her coma months later, Georgia finds her whole world has changed. Returning to the home she had once known, she discovers that her boyfriend has moved on with her best friend, and when Georgia walks in on them together, things fly. Literally. Georgia now finds herself in need of a new job, a new home, and a new life. One night when she is attacked by a soul-sucking demon at her new apartment, Georgia is saved by a vampire and is plunged into a world of good versus evil on a whole new level which she had never known existed. Georgia starts to perfect her new fighting skills, discovers a newfound love, and starts to feel wanted again. One by one, demons are vanquished but little does she know that the darkest of demons lies just around the corner.

Sara Snow’s book stirred up every possible emotion in me and kept me turning to read the next page until I neared exhaustion. No book had ever pulled my interest as much as Demon Marked in a very long time. The characters were endearing, the demons were frighteningly real, and the emotional rollercoaster which pulled Georgia in every direction stirred my own emotions on the deepest level. That one bullet changed Georgia’s entire life and while she found obstacles at every turn, Georgia also discovered that she was finally loved and had true friends, each of whom truly had her back. The ending to this first book in the Venandi Chronicles has left me craving the next installment and I cannot wait to see what happens. I truly loved reading Demon Marked and recommend it to readers over the age of 15 years who are interested in paranormal mysteries.

A young woman's life turns upside down when she wakes from a coma with extraordinary abilities in the urban fantasy novel, Demon Marked: Book 1 of the Venandi Chronicles (An Urban Paranormal Romance Series) by Sara Snow. While working the late shift at a convenience store, Georgia is shot and she slips into a coma. When she awakens in the hospital three months later, Georgia discovers her only friends have moved on without her, and more importantly, she can move things with her mind. While Georgia is trying to pull her life back together, she is attacked by a soul-sucking monster. Carter, a member of an organization of demon-slayers, the Venandi, rushes in and saves her from the creature trying to steal her soul. Carter and the Venandi explain to Georgia that her newly developing powers attract demons who want her dead. To learn how to fight and destroy the evil beings, Georgia trains with Carter and other members of the Venandi. For the first time in her life, Georgia feels like she has a family, but can she truly trust them? What do they want from her?

Brimming with supernatural beings and action-packed scenes, Demon Marked: Book 1 of the Venandi Chronicles (An Urban Paranormal Romance Series) by Sara Snow is a sensational urban fantasy. With engaging characters and an enthralling storyline, it is a delightful and captivating novel. I enjoyed meeting the Venandi and was fascinated with the members. I am impressed with how well Georgia's background of a troubled childhood smoothly transitions into the story. It fleshes out her character and makes it easy to understand her reasoning and reactions. I am eagerly looking forward to meeting her and the Venandi again in future adventures. Moving at a quick pace, filled with action, violence, and a hint of romance, it is an exciting novel that will thrill everyone who loves stories containing vampires, incubus, succubi, and other creatures that roam the night.

Demon Marked: The Venandi Chronicles Book 1 by Sara Snow is the story of Georgia, a young woman who believes she lives a normal boring life. The only thing unusual about her is her purple eyes. On her 21st birthday, she ends up in the hospital with a head injury which puts her into a coma. As if that wasn't bad enough, her boyfriend cheats on her with her roommate and she discovers that vampires and demons exist. Georgia is pulled into a world she knows nothing about, but luckily she has help in the form of Carter Black, a vampire who claims he can assist her.

Sara Snow has written an entertaining book with Demon Marked: The Venandi Chronicles Book 1. The characters were well developed and I enjoyed Georgia's adventures. Georgia is a great character. She is dealing with adult life, trying to hold down a job and hold everything together, but one tragic turn of events changes everything for her. I think her character will appeal to new adult readers who have perhaps moved past the young adult age range and are looking for something great to read. I think fans of urban fantasy or paranormal romance series will love these books. The story moved at a decent pace and I kept reading to find out what would happen to Georgia next. I love the mix of supernatural where regular characters are thrown into it with no idea of what is happening. I think it could do well on the market and I would definitely recommend it.

Demon Marked by Sara Snow is the first book in the Venandi Chronicles series. A contemporary tale similar to the likes of City Of Bones, the book follows the life of Georgia, a normal nursing student trying to make ends meet. When she gets shot in the head, she completely recovers in a matter of three months. Her doctor can barely believe the miracle. Following her discharge from the hospital, strange things start to happen around Georgia. She heals really fast and she can move objects around the room with her mind. Has she become a superhero? That question is answered when the handsome Carter Black introduces her to the Venandi and the world of monsters hiding in plain sight.

Sara Snow is great at worldbuilding. It was one of the things that made the story immersive. The world is one you recognize well and the monster world just fits in seamlessly. It’s not difficult to understand Georgia and the new experiences she’s forced into. I really respected her strength and ability to adapt under difficult circumstances. There is still a lot to learn about the Venandi and the monsters they destroy. I’m sure it’s going to make for some truly interesting stories as Georgia’s story continues to unfold. Demon Marked will resonate with young adults who like coming-of-age stories, strong heroines, and monsters like vampires and demons. The story also shines a light on foster children and the many challenges they face in the system. It will give many readers hope of succeeding if they work hard.
