Devil in the Details by Kimberly Brouillette is Book 2 of The Monastery Murders. Wattsville, Maine has been the center of a terrifying killing spree and Detective Williams is looking for help from a different angle – a paranormal investigator. Unable to tell anyone else what he has experienced, Williams and Nancy do their own investigating and discover information that will send the case spiraling off in an unexpected direction. The walls are starting to crumble as the lies begin to be found out and the detectives may be on the trail of the right killer at last. Can they determine who it is before more blood is spilled?

Devil in the Details: The Monastery Murders Book 2 by Kimberly Brouillette is even better than the first book. With the scene well and truly set, this book starts off right where book 1 ended. We start to see some of the connections come together in ways that just build the suspense even more. There are plenty more twists and turns in this action-packed sequel and you will be tempted to sit and read the book in one sitting. More clues are spun out, characters are developed even more, and there are a few surprises on offer too. By the end of the book, you will think you know who the killer is, but I think book 3 will hold the real key, the final clues to bring the entire mystery to an end. This is another fantastic offering from Ms. Brouillette, with plenty of non-stop action in a fast sequel. I can't wait to read book 3 now, just to see how it all ends.
