JB Taylor is back with two 'edge of your seat,' whiplash filled, 'I did not see that coming' short stories in Dissimilar Shorts Book two. In the first one, we meet two agents from the Night Hawks who are attempting to interrogate a terrorist before he has a chance to attack again. But something isn't quite right with this question and answer session. The second short story follows a small town police force as they try to find out what has bitten off half of a fisherman in a local lake. And once they find out what could possibly eat a man whole, they have to find out just how to kill it. And that quickly becomes a full town extravaganza! Two short stories for the price of one, folks!

I will admit, I did not like the first Dissimilar Shorts book. I thought the writing was rushed, the characters one dimensional, etc. But JB Taylor has stepped up his game big time with the second Dissimilar Shorts book! These characters had depth and history, and some had sass that I just fell in love with immediately. And the story lines themselves were edge of your seat and had me glued from beginning to end. And I felt every character had a purpose, every line had a reason to be there, and everything worked together in perfect harmony. Of course, now I kind of wish both of these were full length novels. I could easily see myself up at midnight reading a Night Hawks series. But, for now, this has quenched my short story thirst and I'm officially a JB Taylor fan!
