When we're young, it's hard to express what you are actually feeling. How we handle our emotions stems from our childhood as to how we were allowed to express them or not, and how our emotions were received. Do You Ever Feel... by Sharlie Zinniger with beautiful illustrations by Tiffany Cunliffe is the ideal book for healthy ways in which children can express themselves. Sharlie cleverly depicts the various aspects of emotions by tying them to animals and making the messages easy to remember through rhymes. "Do you feel happy? Like an elephant under a sky of blue. Do you feel bored? Like a slow-moving sloth with nothing to do." The author touches on so many levels of emotions from happy and lonely to surprised that can be difficult for children to deal with. Use this book as an easy way to teach your child how to deal with and express their feelings in a healthy way.

I found myself smiling and chuckling at the various words and animals that were used to display the messages in how to depict emotions.
