In Done By Christmas by Randall Jarmon, Victor Taggert has made over 200 deaths happen, but it was not until recently that his crimes came to light. The prosecution will do everything they can to ensure that Victor spends his life in jail, but Victor has another plan. His plan is to be out of prison in ten months. True to his word, Victor escapes and now plots another murder; the victim this time is Abigail West. Abigail runs the Abigail West Security Services with her husband, Marcus, and had unknowingly helped in exposing Victor’s crimes. Marcus suspects that Victor will target his wife once he gets out, so he devised The Plan to ensure his family’s happiness and to thwart Victor’s schemes. Part of the plan is to find his daughter, Amanda, a husband and find another person whom he can make his protégé.

Done by Christmas is a fast paced and action packed novel by Randall Jarmon. Every chapter is full of unexpected twists and surprises. This is the first suspense novel I have read with Christian characters and it was very nice. I liked how the characters turn to God for every little thing that happens in their lives. I was a little disappointed towards the end of the book when I learned of Marcus’ plan, but truly there are miracles because it ended differently from how Marcus pictured it. The finale was amazing and the last chapters made me happy while reading. The characters are diverse and unique. Logan was funny, especially during his interviews and when he was starting at AWSS. Marcus and Abigail’s dynamics were also amusing and dreamy. Victor is the antagonist, but his intellect is outstanding; it was just sad that he liked his ways too much to change. The book is very engaging and, overall, deserves a 5-star rating.

Done by Christmas is a delightful story based on acclaimed criminal Victor Taggert and his personal vendetta against Abigail West. Victor had one of his operations intercepted by Abigail’s business, known as Abigail West Security Services. As a result, Victor was convicted and sentenced to prison. Since then, Victor vowed to kill Abigail because she was bad for his “bad” business and his incarceration. Author Randall Jarmon also revealed the inner workings of Abigail West Security Services as well as the interpersonal relationships among its employees. Integral to the plot is the introduction of Logan Blake to the security firm. This bright intern becomes an important ally for the firm, especially in terms of protecting Abigail and her team members from Victor’s numerous attacks. The budding relationship between Logan, the “Geek Boy,” and Amanda, Abigail’s daughter, is an added bonus.

Done by Christmas is a fast paced tale filled with suspense at every turn. The story begins showcasing a speedy chase between Victor Taggert and the police, which the author deftly uses to reveal the intellectual precision of Victor’s mind. The entire plot was developed exceptionally well with unexpected twists that truly take you by surprise. The use of contrast and the element of surprise is very effective and gripping, which really draws the reader in and makes them engrossed in the story. I recommend this book to all readers who love a suspense novel.

Done by Christmas by Randall Jarmon is a fictional story that revolves around Victor Taggart. Everyone has heard of Victor Taggart who is known to have committed around 200 murders and whose arrest, conviction and trial dominated the New York City news for many weeks. Taggart escapes from prison and now it is up to Marcus West to keep a check on the murders that will happen. Marcus West is a highly regarded mathematician/engineer with the super-secret National Security Agency. He dreams of getting his daughter, Amanda, married soon. Taggart is sure West will die, but then the unexpected happens.

'Good killers aren’t real easy to deal with. No surprise there, right? Some of them get hot-headed. Some of them get to sulking. Before you know it, they might settle their gripe by killing somebody — maybe even me!' This snippet from the book reveals how cunning and clever Victor Taggart is. The book exposes human nature and the characters are all well developed, which makes the plot strong and effective. There is an underlying thread of Christian faith and belief that runs through the character of Marcus West, giving a steadying effect to the plot.

Victor Taggart will leave you impressed with his power and self confidence. It’s a very strong portrayal which gives a lot of scope for readers to learn about his wickedness. Marcus West's character, too, stands out in the story against the vileness of Victor Taggart. An interesting story where characters are memorable along with the dangers they face, something that will keep readers entertained.
