Author Biography

I was born in Chattanooga, Tn in 1988. I have always loved to write and enjoy hearing inspirational stories. My motivation for this novel is the current world events that surround our U.S./Mexico border. I feel like people need to hear all sides of this issue. My inspiration for my book was my husband and our story. It is my hope to shed some light on immigration and inspire others.

Don't Give Up on Me by C. Victorya Grace is a compelling story that explores themes of romance, family, endurance, and the resilience of the human spirit. When he was just a young boy, Miguel revolted against his father’s abuse, especially of their mother, and stood up against him with a butcher knife in hand, telling him to back off and never come back again. Since then, he vowed to offer protection to his mom and seven siblings, even if it meant leaving his home country to travel to the USA, a dream that comes true. Grace hasn’t been the healthiest of girls and has had her fair share of pain. But getting married to Miguel has been one of the greatest miracles of her life. Both lived for each other, but can this love sustain them in dire moments when they have to face the harsh reality of life alone?

Based on true events, Don't Give Up on Me is a beautiful story that will strike chords in readers and wake them up emotionally. It is so human, so real, and so engaging that the reader easily sees themselves in the characters. Grace and Miguel experience the doldrums of the everyday life of any couple, but they find strength in a love so strong it keeps them going in very trying times. Themes of family, love, abuse, and parenting are ingeniously written into the narrative. I particularly enjoyed the beauty of the prose, the author’s ability to plunge the reader into the inner world of the characters, and the skill with which she explores different emotions. C. Victorya Grace’s book is filled with inspiration and moments that lift the reader. A great read, indeed.

I enjoyed reading about their life together. Their trials and love for each other and how they both overcame the different lives they both led. Cant wait for the rest.
