The Somnambulist spirit hovered above Shea Caldwell’s body, relishing the prospect of joining with her, making her do his will. Shea wakes up in the middle of a supermarket lot, not knowing how she got there, knowing the nightmares have returned. She hires Derek Oneiros to do a background check on a prospective employee. Her company, Biodermatics, is on the verge of creating a new cream to treat burns and wrinkles, and competitors would love to know her secrets. She tries to maintain a professional relationship with Derek, but her resistance crumbles in his presence, both drawn together with shared love that ends in passionate, steamy encounters. What Shea doesn’t know is that Derek and his brothers are Dream Weavers who help people dream, natural enemies of the Somnambulist. The two struggle for possession of Shea’s body, which comes to an inevitable final confrontation. Will Shea finally have peace and love?

Dream Weavers, Book 2, is either a very erotic work with fantasy and mythology thrown in to add spice to the story, or an enchanting romantic fantasy with much explicit sex. Readers will have to make up their own minds. Either way, Kimberly Dean has produced a very readable tale with sympathetic characters against a fascinating backdrop of fantasy. Shea is a tortured soul who knows she is possessed but has been in denial since childhood, and Derek is a mythological figure who has fallen in love with a mortal. The story has a texture and richness that maintains interest, which could have been enhanced had Kimberly Dean created a longer story. Book 3 might reveal more of this ingenious tale. A very well-written book.
