Let’s face it, men look at pregnancy much different than women. They watch as their wives’ body changes. They know there is a baby in there but they have little idea of what’s happening and how their life is about to change.

If you judge a book by its cover, then you will immediately know this is going to be good. The authors survived pregnancy and learned a lot. They willingly share their hard-learned lessons with other men. Bill Lloyd and Scott Finch warn that this is not a book for women and that the pages are treated with a mysterious chemical that reacts to female hormones. I now look like Joan Rivers…read the book only then will you understand. Seriously, this is a great book. It covers mood swings, enlarging body parts, facts, and myths. The Dudes’ Guide To Pregnancy is written in a style that will appeal to men. My favorite part was Ask The Dude. This book is bound to make a bestseller list. Way to go Dudes!

The first thing which must be said is this book is only for guys. This book is off-limits to opposite gender.

Yes, this book is crude, irreverent, unapologetic, and full of testosterone (also known as guy humor.) There's also swearing in the book . There are also three sketches of possible sex positions (WOO-HOO) of a dude with a hairy chest and a huge bushy mustache. The censored blocks are in place to prevent any dude from seeing any line art erotica. If you are offended by this you are most likely NOT A DUDE! (Refer to the first paragraph.)

This book is blatantly honest with a heaping helping of sarcasm mixed in.

The "Dudes" discuss every aspect any soon-to-be dad would be interested to know (or at least be comforted to realize they're not the only ones going through this.)

I'm looking forward to any sequels such as: Dude's guide to vasectomy, toddlers, teenagers, etc...

Even I thought this was funny and I am the pregnant wife... though pregnant women may want to wait to read this til AFTER they have been through pregnancy... otherwise you may have to hurt your husband:)

The bottom line is this, without the book, I would have been up that creek with no paddle. I learned more in three seconds of reading then I did in high school.

I loved this book. I can see how some women with hormones flying might be offended, but I'm thick skinned so had no issues with it. I thought it was hilarious and am so grateful for a book that my husband will actually read and will tell him what to expect when I'm expecting.

Hilariously funny and a fast read. I actually laughed out loud while reading this book. Authors Bill Lloyd and Scott Finch offer advice to expectant fathers but the content is entertaining for both genders. Their stories are engaging and they find humor in all the ups and downs of pregnancy. A must read for any expectant father.

After reading this book I would have to say, satyr aside, its probably one of the most informative and life/experience appropriate books on the subject for the every-day-man. It has done very well to prepare me for the steps that come with expecting and having a child. I would highly recommend this book to anyone that is planning on a family, in the middle of a pregnancy or even after having a child (in preparation for the next) - informative and entertaining, it will lighten the mood of this serious event.

My wife and I are about to have our first kid, and we've done our fair share of research, but this book is definatly the one worth reading out of all of them. It really has two things going for it, humor and information.

The read is easy. It's almost flows as easily and humorously as the sunday comics page. Now, I know I definitely have the easy part of pregnancy being a man and all, but it is still pretty rough on both of us. This book brought that perspective to light for my wife and made it easier to convince me to do things for her.

Overall, I cannot recommend this book enough to expecting parents of both genders. But if you already know everything and have no sense of humor, you may not get anything out of it.

Hilarious! I loved it. It's filled with funny stories and great sarcasm. Anyone who's expecting will laugh with each page. Anyone who's been through it will appreciate these guys take on it. IT'S A PERFECT gift! I'm buying a few more copies to give at the next baby shower. The Dudes' Guide to Pregnancy: Dealing with Your Expecting Wife, Coming Baby, and the End of Life as You Knew It

Gald to be a Dad

Definitely the best book I have read since our son was recently born. Okay I will be honest, it is the only book I have had time to read since our bundle of joy took over every minute of our days...and nights. But this is really the perfect book to get for any soon to be dad out there. Even if your child has already been born (like mine has), this book will have you laughing to the point of tears, thinking back to the bizarre behavior your wife exhibited during those 9 crazy months. You can definitely tell the authors have been through it all several times, and surprisingly have actually mixed in a lot of helpful information with their hilarious personal stories. I will without a doubt, read it again week by week next time we are pregnant, and will definitely be buying more copies for friends that are about to be first time dads, so that they too have a present to open while their wives are getting showered with gifts throughout their pregnancy.

Hopefully, these guys come out with a 2nd book: The Dude's Guide to the 1st Year of Fatherhood. Could definitely use it right about now.
