Author Biography

Endless is my first published book, inspired by some of the many destinations I have travelled to. Those places resonate in my mind and help me when developing a plot. I was a chef for many years, and still have a passion for cooking. I operate a small business now, but I write as often as I can. I am currently working on a sequel to Endless.

Endless by Chris Winters is the mysterious story of a man who miraculously appears during the world’s biggest disasters and saves lives, including 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, the tsunami in Indonesia, the Vietnam War, and more. His best friend George, who served with him in the Vietnam War and whose life he saved, runs into him at the bank after 47 years. George is delighted, but Cris maintains that he does not know George and that his name is Isaac. Unconvinced, George goes on a mission to find evidence that Isaac is his wartime friend, and he enlists the services of his son, John, who happens to be one of the best private detectives in Florida. They don’t know why or how Cris can be present during these disasters, but they intend to track down the evidence and get to the bottom of the mystery.

Endless by Chris Winters is a gripping, adventure-filled, and suspenseful story that takes an unexpected turn. Although I had theories regarding Cris/Isaac’s miraculous appearances over centuries, they all proved to be wrong. Endless is captivating and action-packed, recounting some of the biggest disasters in world history. Winters held my attention, and I couldn’t wait to reach the next chapter or return to finish the book. I felt as if I was on the journey with George and John, eagerly anticipating the answers to these baffling events. This is a splendid, beautifully written, entertaining story, and I enjoyed reading it. I am incredibly impressed with the imaginative plot and conclusion – I didn’t see it coming.

Endless by Chris Winters is a novella with magical realism and alternative history. Isaac Rojas had tried to live a quiet life for countless centuries, but he is constantly visiting places just before tragedy strikes. He was in Indonesia when the tsunami hit. There, he witnessed human suffering at its worst, apparently a punishment for an ancient deed. Isaac began providing aid to those in dire need. He is spotted by George, an old friend from the Vietnam War, who realizes that Isaac hasn't aged in forty-seven years. George becomes fixated on discovering Isaac's secret. He follows him through the Middle East and Europe with his private investigator son and enlists the help of Isaac's love interest, Angelica. This group tries to expose the truth about a man shrouded in mystery. Can Isaac keep his secret, as the world would be unlikely to accept his true identity?

The book is suspenseful, but the element of magic realism makes it even more enjoyable. The scenes are vividly drawn so that readers will feel the emotions that go through the protagonist's mind. The plot is thrilling with continual changes in character development as the protagonist goes on to discover more things about himself and decides never to reveal his reality because he believes that no one will trust him. The credibility is the show-stealer, keeping readers wanting more until the end. The secrets revealed in the plot are astonishing, inviting readers to discover more about the world of magical powers and their advantages and disadvantages. I recommend this book because of the author's authenticity in plot development using magical realism. Endless by Chris Winters is a short, light-hearted, and adventurous tale.

Endless by Chris Winters follows Isaac Rojas, a man who has lived through many centuries and is shrouded in mystery, who always happens upon those in need during times of disaster. Constantly encountering disaster, Isaac is faced with various horrors and is forced to witness what seems to be endless suffering. Isaac continues to live his life offering aid to those he encounters but this soon backfires when George Watson, a man Isaac saved in the Vietnam War, recognizes him and wants to know why he hasn’t aged a day.

Endless by Chris Winters is a thrilling adventure filled with mystery and emotional turmoil. Heart-wrenching scenes from disasters such as 9/11 demonstrate the magnitude of suffering people endure every day. This book highlights not only the suffering experienced by people throughout human history but also the capacity for good within people as they band together in times of hardship to help one another. The added mystery of Isaacs’s true identity really makes Endless a jack of all trades in the sense that this story contains various elements from different genres and melds them into one so seamlessly. Winter's writing style is also perfectly suited to this as the pacing and changing of scenery and timelines were done so well. The characters were all intriguing and the diversity within the cast of characters made this book even more unique. Overall, this was such a fantastic and well-written book and I would highly recommend any book lover to give this story a go.

I bought this book at the authors book signing. I wasn’t expecting much from a first time author. I was very surprised after I read it. I literally had trouble putting it down. He told me that he had more books coming out next year. I look forward to reading those as well. He has a writing style that is quick and full of action. Keep it up Chris.
