Faith without Borders by Jeremy G. Woods is an extremely insightful read. How many of us wonder how to pray, how to know God's will in our lives and also how to hear God's voice in the midst of our daily lives? Jeremy G. Woods covers all these areas with sound and helpful advice. As he says, we live in a "microwave age" and are so used to getting what we want instantly that we have forgotten that sometimes we need to be patient and wait on God. He does not always deliver microwave answers. The book contains information on how to pray, which is always useful advice, some poems and song lyrics to inspire you, learning to wait patiently for God and trusting in Him always, and looking at God's word in a different light. Knowing when to accept that a door has been closed and that there is a reason for it is always a useful lesson to learn, provided you know that God has closed the door. Fellowship with other Christians is very important, as are the words you speak each day. God knows your path, and you need to learn to hear Him so that you can fulfill your purpose.

Faith without Borders is quite literally what the name implies. There are no limits to our faith except us, and we all need to commune daily with our Lord to keep our path straight in this crazy world. Jeremy G. Woods has managed to convey some difficult concepts in an easy to read, easy to understand, and easy to follow way. He looks at various Bible passages in an insightful way, giving them new meaning. Jeremy uses the story of Elijah to beautifully illustrate that God is often in the silence. As you most likely know, Elijah waited in the mountains for God, and knew he was not in the fire, earthquake or wind, and waited for them all to pass, knowing that God was in the stillness that followed. Spending time with God on a daily basis is important, not just reading His word, but communing with him through prayer and worship. Is God calling you to do something? Are you hearing His voice, or are you blindly following your own path? How do you know it is God's will and not your own? Are your motives pure when you help others? Certainly a book to keep at your bedside and read often!
