In Falling Into Place, S.R. Lewis takes us through her life, exploring different spiritual and inspirational incidents that have helped shape her into the faithful and spiritual person that she is today. The beginning of the novel tells the tragic story of a little girl losing her mom, and the events that followed. Fortunately, she was comforted by her mom. What? Yes! Her mom and her deceased dad end up comforting her. This was the beginning of Lewis's inspirational journey through life. God begins to play a huge role in Lewis's life and decisions. Though she faces hardships and trauma that no one should have to deal with, through her experiences she comes to find her self and her own beliefs. There is a true strength of character that you can see in the author and her experiences that really connects with the reader.

Falling into Place really blends the best of both historical fiction with memoirs. The addition of inspirational messages and Godly influences really add a bit of spice and "feel good" to the story as well. Progressing from childhood to being a teenager to adulthood, Lewis portrays her changing views as she grew up. While reading a bit like a dry diary, there were many meaningful moments that brought joy to the story. Overall, S.R. Lewis creates a piece that allows the reader to cope with the harsh realities of life by digging deeper into the "Why's" and "What if's".
