Author Biography

KEELAN STORM grew up in a small, south Texas town and finds that she very nearly despises the large city life. She studied accounting in college for a couple of years before discovering her better fit of teaching and met the love of her life in her freshman college dorm. Once married, her husband's military career took them to Kansas for a few years before she made it back to her well-missed Texas hometown to teach junior high math for several years.

It was during those first years of marriage that her first story popped in her head, and she began her adventure of writing. She fell in love with the characters so deeply that she couldn't let their story end. Her writing took a pause with the arrival of two sweet boys, but she's finally ready to share her series with readers.

Currently, Keelan Storm is a fifth grade math teacher by day, and a mother and writer by night. She enjoys time with her husband and two children, their cat and dog, a love/hate relationship with her treadmill and the gym, reading, trying her hand at gardening (not bad so far), attending local craft activities, and rediscovering her passion for her story and it's characters.

Finding Fate is the first entry in the Tied by Fate Series by Keelan Storm, a coming-of-age, young adult romance with unforgettable characters. Tucker Patterson has lived all his life in the beachside community where he’s developed a relationship with Isabel “Izzy” Dearly. He’s never had more than a friendly consideration for Isabel until one day before their senior year he watches her at the ocean shore. Deep inside, he knows he desires her. But everything changes when rich kid Wesley Hernandez moves into their community and goes after Isabel. He makes a strong impression on Izzy, the introverted girl next door that Tucker has known all his life. But something is wrong and Tucker is determined to show Izzy what it is. Can he win her heart and strengthen the bonds they’ve had for many years?

This novel caught my attention from the get-go and never let it slip for a single moment. Keelan Storm’s characters come alive in the pages and I loved how the author explores the emotions of the characters. The setting is a beach community that is beautifully described and the images play in the reader’s mind like those of a place they have known. The emotional conflict is very strong and I loved how the advent of Wesley changes everything, even the way Tucker looks at Izzy. Finding Fate is cinematic, written in gorgeous prose, and in a voice that grabs the reader and stays with them. It is an exciting and delightful read and I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Finding Fate is a work of fiction in the young adult romance and coming of age sub-genres, and was penned by author Keelan Storm. The first novel in the Tied by Fate continuing series, the work is written for mature teen and adult readers as it does contain the use of explicit language, some sexual situations, violence and dark themes that some readers may be sensitive to. The protagonists Tucker and Izzy have known one another since childhood, but Tucker begins to see Izzy in a whole new light after the smooth-talking Wesley Hernandez enters the scene. So begins a torrid exploration of the drama and pitfalls of first love.

Author Keelan Storm has everything romance readers need packed into this powerfully passionate read about first love and its many dangers. One of the things which impressed me a lot about the work was its commitment to character, and how deeply these characters drive the story forward and give it its true heart. Even side characters are given space to develop their unique voices, perhaps hinting at future books in the series, and Tucker's and Izzy’s feelings take center stage through some beautifully penned speech and thought presentation. What results is an accomplished work with emotional intelligence. Overall, I would highly recommend Finding Fate to young adult romance fans who want realistic emotions and fully developed characters alongside an exciting, high-stakes dramatic plot.

Finding Fate: First in the Tied by Fate Series by Keelan Storm is the story of two childhood friends as they encounter jealousy, adulthood, and love. Tucker always saw Izzy as his good friend whom he could count on. However, one fateful day at the beach changed everything. She is no longer his friend Izzy but a beautiful young girl he is attracted to. Before he could do something about this newfound attraction, a newcomer in their town steals her attention. Wesley is everything Tucker is not; he is loud, obnoxious and there is something about him that does not seem right. However, Izzy seems to like him for some reason. He comes between Tucker and Izzy; something that even Jet or Annie cannot imagine. Is there any way Tucker can make sure he doesn’t lose his friend? Is there a chance for him to pursue a relationship with her?

Wow, Finding Fate by Keelan Storm is a summer romance that everyone should read. The drama, the passion, and the characters are all on point. I could not help but feel for Tucker; his new emotions confuse him and he is not ready to face them. Izzy, on the other hand, is the kind of girl who has a clear goal in mind and she doesn’t hesitate in going after it. I enjoyed Jet's and Annie’s characters as well. The four of them made a cool group, they made me feel included and in the moment with them. Wesley is an atypical character; he is cunning and someone who only looks for his advantages. However, I feel like there is more to his story. This is one of those romance novels that is enjoyed by people of all ages. As long as they love romance, they will love this one. Entertaining and very well-written.

Started cute and raced to sexy! What seems to be a blush-inducing story about young love takes a turn for the serious and then even more serious. Storm's novel is full of decisions teens should not have to make, and full of teens who handle them gracefully - though not without some miscommunication. If only we could all have an Annie or a Tucker at our side! Pick this one up if you like steamy nights (and afternoons), young love, sister stories, and friend groups that will not be broken.
