Foreshadow by Kimberly Haddix-Fisher is a book short on pages but big on emotion. This book is written from the view point of Josie, a tiny baby thatwas born too early; but against the odds, she survived to come home. A short time later she was returned to the hospital with a fatal illness. Josie shares her mother’s pain and depression. Many marriages would not survive such a loss; but Josie’s mom and dad love each other very much, and they weather the storm of loss.

Josie’s mom, Kim, began having dreams of a baby girl when she was still a child. The dreams were vivid and special. After the loss of her child, Kim and her husband decided to adopt. Their new daughter was born in Guatemala. Kim knew that Josie was her baby sister’s guardian angel.

We must face trials in our lives. Kim faced many trials, from the loss of her daughter to a serious illness. The heavenly Father and her earthly family returned to her heavenly Father before she was full term. She brought her through the trials.

I found this book heartwarming. Kim shared this story in hopes of helping others through the loss of a child.
