Author Biography

Hi! I'm a debut Hispanic author for Middle Grade & Young Adult Fantasy books with a new upcoming Epic Fantasy 7-part series, REALMS OF ERDARIS.

My inspiration for this series were the strong and thoughtful women in my life, particularly my grandmothers and mother. I was raised on stories they either read or told to me as a child, whether from a fantasy book or actual experiences throughout their migration to the United States.

As for myself, I'm a bilingual first generation immigrant, all of our family is from Cuba & Spain. I enjoy cooking, writing & spending quality time with my spouse and our doggy companion.

Forgotten In The Ashes is the second installment in Michael Patrick’s epic fantasy series titled Realm of Erdaris. When news of an attack on a Knights' patrol in Arulwyn Outpost reaches the ears of Realm Ambassador Amalyn, the Starbornes suspect foul play. Amalyn swiftly gathers a few loyal retainers and proceeds to seek the aid of Grand Magister Davik in investigating a potential southern threat. After agreeing on a deal with Davik, Amalyn continues her quest to learn the nature of the threat plaguing Arulan. Braving a grueling journey, she reaches the Arulwyn Outpost and acquaints herself with Knight-Commander Syfer and Sage Taroz. She and fellow Starbornes quickly discern traces of Grey magic used by Dark Elves of yore and cross over to the lands of the Molkyn people to explore further.

If you’re entranced by tales of magic and intrigued by creatures such as elves, fae, or orcs, Forgotten In The Ashes is just the book for you. Michael Patrick’s novel plunges the reader into an adventure of epic proportions that fills you with a sense of wonder and awe. The plot moves quickly, and the author doesn’t waste much time introducing the reader to his wondrously imaginative world. The characters seem distinct, and I found the main protagonist Amalyn to be an inspirational leader who distinguishes herself amongst her peers. Despite it being the second installment of the series, Forgotten In The Ashes also functions seamlessly as a standalone. I enjoyed it and would recommend it to epic fantasy lovers.
